Fishers Health Department emphasizes environmental health as a core activity. 

We regulate and educate to uphold standards, ensuring public health protection. Our services align with state codes and are housed within the City of Fishers Permitting and Inspections Department.

Todd Suchy

Todd Suchy is the Building Commissioner and Environment Health Services Coordinator for the City of Fishers. He is a transplant to Indiana, originally from southwest Pennsylvania. His educational background is in Architectural Design and Civil Engineering. His previous work experience includes working for the City of Indianapolis, large scale utility construction (mainly wind and natural gas), and infrastructure design and construction. He came to Fishers in September of 2015 to serve as the Building Commissioner. He enjoys working on his farm, beach vacations, and the outdoors.

Spencer Martin

Spencer Martin is an Environmental Health Inspector with the Fishers Health Department. He was born and raised in Noblesville Indiana, and his educational background is in Environmental Management and Sustainability. His previous work experience is in Water Quality with the Hamilton County Health Department. He came to Fishers in August of 2020 to serve as a Pool Inspector and Environmental Health Inspector. He enjoys woodworking with his dad, playing board games with friends, and camping.

Tim Burbich

Tim has been a Fishers resident since 1999. He was born and raised in Lake County, Indiana, known to many as “The Region”. His background is in retail operations management. He started his career with the City in 2008 with the Department of Public Works. Transitioning through DPW and into the storm/sanitary water quality department, his primary duties were to inspect, maintain, and repair the city’s infrastructure.

In 2017, Tim transferred into the Inspections and Permitting Department and worked as a code enforcement/zoning inspector. As the city’s population continued to expand and the health department was created, he joined the Environmental Health Inspection team in 2020. 

In his free time, he enjoys music, volunteering for city events, and DJ’ing for city employee gatherings. He also enjoys his outdoor time biking, fishing, camping, and golfing. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dan Stuart

Dan Stuart has lived in Fishers for eight years. He retired after 41 years in the food service industry as a Regional Sales Manager for Cargill Food Service, but after spending a couple of years adjusting to retirement, decided he wasn’t cut out for it and found a part time position with the City of Fishers in 2014 as a utility locator and code enforcement. He loves living in Fishers watching how the city has grown over the last few years and being part of it working for the city. He has enjoyed getting back in the food business and is excited to work with local operators.
