The City of Fishers Health Department through the generous support of a donor has allocated funds to a School Health Club Grant Program for school-based clubs within Fishers and the HSE School District. Support is provided for club activities that aim to improve school or community health and wellness, social determinants of health or health inequities. See the program flyer. Grant Purpose
To provide funding support for student-led efforts to improve health, wellness, social determinants of health, and/or health inequities in Fishers and the surrounding community.
Grant & Project Criteria
- Maximum Award of $500 per school year.
- Awards available to school-based clubs within Fishers and the HSE school system.
- Projects should be student-led.
- Club should have their own bank account with club name or school sponsored account.
- Projects must be approved by school administration and club sponsor.
Program Details
- Rolling Applications (i.e. applications are reviewed as they are submitted throughout the year)
- Funding Cap $500
- Upon completion of the project, you agree to submit a report which should include success stories, total number of students or community members impacted, and a statement about the impact the grant had on the school or community.
- Grants to be awarded by selection committee comprised of Health Department staff.
Eligible & Ineligible Expenses
- NO to fundraising costs.
- YES to supplies for a program.
- YES to creative, innovative programs.
