Youth Mental Health First Aid training
November 16 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
$54.90Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge, or is in crisis. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders.
This training will be BLENDED, which includes 2-hour, self-paced online course, and 7-hour, in-person training with breaks. Registrants will receive a link via email to the online components of the training, which must be completed prior to the in-person training.
When registering, choose “Youth Mental Health First Aid” and that you are registering as an “individual”.
This course requires a minimum of 5 people. The FHD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this course.
