Safe Sitter Essentials with Safe Start Indiana
September 19 @ 9:00 am – 2:30 pm

Children in grades 6-8 will learn how to prevent injuries and handle emergencies when home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students will review the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and receive infant and child CPR and choking rescue instruction using mannequins to practice their skills. Information regarding how a child’s age will affect the type of care needed, how to prevent unwanted behavior, how to stay safe both in person and online, as well as how to run their own babysitting business is included. Training is facilitated by Kristy Yount of Safe Start Indiana. Registration fee is $65. To register, email safestartindiana@gmail.com.
