“Your Health, Your Way” Life Skills Series for 16-23 year olds*

This summer, build your confidence in managing stress, relationships, school and/or work—and your life with our FREE non-cringe, health-centric series specifically for teens (16+) and young adults. *Teens 16-17 years of age must submit a consent form to participate.

Sessions in this series give you a chance to learn about topics that matter in everyday life — from sexual health to handling stress to making decisions about alcohol and other drugs. Everything is presented in a way that’s easy to understand and open to questions. You’ll pick up practical skills, build confidence in your choices, and get information that helps you take care of your well‑being as you move through new experiences.

Stay Safe, Stay Smart: Decision-making around Alcohol and Other Drugs

In this session, participants will explore social norms, the effects of alcohol, and the risks of using more than one substance at once. Interactive elements include discussions, activities, and a Naloxone training demo to enhance practical knowledge about overdose identification and response. The session also covers safer drinking strategies, the intersection of substance use and consent, and legal considerations, encouraging informed, responsible decision-making.

  • Duration: 60 minutes 

It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health for High School Students

This program that provides young people with mental health education and resources. The program raises awareness about mental health issues, how to start a conversation about mental health, the importance of self-care, and how to reach out for help—specifically for 14-18 year olds.

  • Duration: 45 minutes 

The Sex Talk: Communication, Consent, and Safer Sex

This session focuses on key concepts of sexual health and communication. Participants will explore topics including consent, safer sex practices, pregnancy prevention, and proper condom use. The session emphasizes informed choices, risk reduction, and fostering positive relationships, as well as local resources.

Taming Stress in Everyday Life

This session explores stress, its effects, and coping strategies. Participants will discuss stress basics, identify symptoms, and differentiate between emotion-focused and problem-focused coping strategies. Activities include organizing coping strategies, creating a self-care plan, and an optional time management exercise. We will also be talking about when to seek help and where to get support.
